Hilda the Hedgehog

Hilda the Hedgehog

W/C: 1st November

This week in our classes, we have the tale of a young Hedgehog who refuses to listen to her family when they tell her it’s time for hibernation; instead of sleeping, she heads off on an adventure in the woodland (turns out her mum is right in the end though…of course!). Hmm, anyone experienced similar sleep conflicts…. you might tell, from the number of stories that centre around sleep, that this is a frequently addressed ‘conversation’ in Beanstalk Arts HQ!

Activity-wise there is obviously a mixture of hedgehogs and forest-related things you can do! Here are a few ideas…

Stories set in the woodland and/or around the theme of family…

  • That’s Not My Hedgehog! – F Watt/ F Wells

Or have a hunt around your books for something in the woodland!
